grow with me

I am so excited at how well our first year of offering Baby Planners has gone. Watching all the little ones grow in the first year is just the best ever.  As our first year with the baby planners wraps up, we will be making a few changes to the way we do them. But not to worry - if you are in the middle of your planner, nothing changes for you.

The Little Man above was a dream, as always! A big thanks to his parents for  letting me stretch my creativity and letting some of my crazy ideas out into the light.

Sunflower Girl

That is what I wrote on my calender! She contacted me a few months ago with an idea and a love of sunflowers. We waited and waited some more for the blooms to make it happen.  In our small town, there is a small garden with an amazing display of sunflowers every year. We got lucky as this year they planted the shorter variety, making for a better picture, and the garden is easily accessible.  Sunflower girl and I had a good time running around in the garden and being creative with all it had to offer. The light was beautiful, and the heat was tolerable.

We have put together new Senior Packages - for all of you new seniors about to start the shortest year of your lives.  Make sure you ask about them when you schedule your shoots. They are so that new we do not have any documentation on them yet.

sum sum summertime

I love summer - it is ridiculously hawt here and shooting in the middle of the day has almost become out of the question. But going to the park and playing dress-up before dinner is still in the cards.  Some of my wee friends came and played and let me shoot for fun for an hour or two the other day, letting me explore some long-time-coming ideas I have had stored away - totally refreshing my creative batteries!  I hope everyone is staying cool as the really hawt weather is about to descend on us here in GA. One more of Princess Em: we will all miss you when you move away to somewere even hotter than here.

Happy Friday

I was up in the city for a doctor appointment early this morning; and, because of scheduling difficulties, the little dude had to come with. We only made it through the appointment because my husband started talking about Fernbank, and it is one of Will’s favorite places. So guess where I spent the rest of the morning? We had a good time looking at the dinos, and then we dropped by the hubbie’s work and took him to lunch. On the way out the door, my phone rang, and I saw it was one of my favorite photogs: Mr. Jeremy Harwell. I always feel so special when he calls me. Anyway, we had a great chat, and I plan on seeing him very soon for some yummy lunch. I also know he reads this blog so “Heya Jeremy, see you soon!” So the day has been unexpectedly fun and full of love. I hope you all have a great, if not better, weekend!

totally behind

I am showing more of this beauty as I am behind on everything. We have finally got the shopping cart up and working (yeah!), so if you login and it looks different, just know you will be getting an email soon with instructions.

I am also happy to show off the article the local paper printed up on me. Don’t I look pretty.
