The perfect equation

One girl + one boy + two parents + three dogs = Fun

Tag

Okay, so a photo friend has tagged me. And now it is time to tell you six things you might not know about me. (Oh, Yeah! This should be so fun):

  1. I have crazy, vivid dreams at night. I can even remember ones I had back when I was a kid and describe them in vivid detail, even today.
  2. I’d rather take a bath than a shower. Lucky for me, I have an extra long bath tub.
  3. I have always wanted to live in an old farm house and own chickens. The idea of eating fresh eggs for breakfast really makes me excited.
  4. I am a huge food snob. I was a very pick eater as a child and would only eat mac & cheese and hot dogs. When I started trying new foods, when I was in my early twenties, I went nuts. I eat pretty much anything now. Some people go hiking, and others like to scrapbook in there spare time. Me? I like to find the craziest restaurant I can, make a reservation, and order half the menu so I can try everything. That is my idea of fun.
  5. Me and my DH are hoping for another baby soon, hopefully a girl.
  6. I am scared of swarms - or just lots of one kind of animal. It really creeps me out to see lots of ants or a huge flock of birds. I get shivers just thinking about it.

Thanks, Michelle, for tagging me. It was fun.

Holidays Cometh’

The Mistletoe in October event is just around the corner, if you want to get in on the action and get those holiday cards done this is the event for you.  This is the only Holiday Cards special we are running this year, you can see the complete details here and all the card designs here.

Can I get a 2008?!

Here are a couple of my personal FAVES from a senior shoot last week. You absolutely must give her props for doing anything for the pic. She even looked straight into the full sun for the awesome railroad shot - that’s hard core.

Holiday Cards

The Holiday Card Designs are finally here:

2008

I like Seniors - and, no, I don’t mean old people. Not that I don’t like old people - they are cool too, but I really like teenagers (though they hate being called that). So have I lost you yet?

Those Seniors (must always be capitalized) are always so pretty and ready for the big life that is in front of them, and Miss. J was no exception. She was so smiley, excited, ready for the Big, Big World; and it shows in her pics. I had a great time hanging out with her and her mom. She even laid down in a dirty wet field in a pretty white dress for me. Now that is commitment to the photo! Just a quick one for now, but I have so many great ones that I know I will be sharing more soon.

Oh, how much I love the yummy goodness that is SUN FLARE!

He’s got a ticket to ride!

I would definitely dub him and his brother the transportation kids: they had every form of riding thing around. I even got in on the act for a while. Thankfully, I was the one with the camera - so no pictures of that.

Is he not the cutest?

Santa is coming down the chimney tonight

Yes, it is time to start thinking about Holiday Cards! We are doing a one-day shoot for Holiday cards this year. It is going to be held on this cool, dead-end dirt road where we will have our new “old” couch that appears in the sample pics below. For $150 you’ll get a 20 minute session with me and fifty 4×6 full-color printed cards with your choice of message inside (and they come with envelopes).

The session will be held on Saturday, October 13th, 2007. If you are interested then email or call me to schedule your time.

We have 18 different card designs to choose from, and I will add the rest of those later today. For now, here is a quick sample.

G-Love

Can you believe me and my old ass went to a concert over the weekend. I have no idea how I got roped into it, but I am sure it went a little something like this.

Josh: Hey, Malin, I got us tickets to the G-Love show in September.

Me: Hmmmm, I guess. I mean I have time to warm up to the idea seeing as it is February.

Josh: It will be fun. We never go anywhere - especially without Will.

Me: Hmmmmmm, Okay.

So, G-Love has been around since I was in high school, eons ago. So I did not expect there to be 1000 teenagers, and us be the “old people”. Now, don’t get me wrong - I hang with the Senior set pretty often for their pictures and always have a good time, but this was downright depressing. It just solidified the fact that I will be 30 next year, hmmmmmmmmmmm.

Oh, I almost forgot a little Special Sauce for you to hear.

Of course, I did not take my camera to the show. So instead, here is my little muse, running like a cheetah.
