Airplane

To say that Will loves airplanes is a serious understatement. Will was enamored with every aspect of our seven-hour excursion to the west.

My husband accidentally discarded my original attempt at this post when I asked him to proofread, and I can’t remember everything I originally said. So I’ll have to post another entry later with the full scoop of our travels.

For now, here are some pictures of Will, adoring the airplanes while waiting at the gate and watching Cars while on the plane.

See you on the flip side

I think this will be the last post until we arrive in Seattle. Since the airport is supposed to be crazy tomorrow, we have to leave early. I have cleaned, mowed, laundered, and cleaned some more in preparation for this trip. Now, all I have to do is organize and pack. Of course I can’t pack right now because my lovely hubby is sleeping on the packing table (i.e. the bed), so I get to blog instead. I also get to go through old pictures and try out some new techniques. This was taken in February, and, boy, has he grow since then! It totally breaks my heart. Well, next time we speak (or I guess I should say next time I speak) it will be from the great state of Washington!

Crazy for Buckets

I have to tell everyone about my Fav new thing: Tubtrugs. This bucket is the coolest thing ever - no, I really mean it. Not only does it come in many different sizes but it is also flexible, and it comes in the coolest colors. It is also completely indestructible and comes with a lifetime warranty. I use them for everything: laundry, weeding in the garden, washing the car, watering my plants, storing toys….. Now for the catch - they are made in Europe (and I don’t live there).

So I got to thinking and realized they looked really familiar. I racked my brain for weeks why it seemed I had seen them before despite never having been to England or Australia, where they are apparently very popular. Then it came in a flash. I knew exactly were I had seen them: a horse farm! Crazy, huh? Oh, did I mention they have handles so you can carry them like bags? They are flexible, too. Okay, so I called around, and, sure enough, I found a farm supply store here in Atlanta that carried them. They use them for feed - go figure. They thought I was a complete nut for being so excited about a feed bucket, but, oh well, I was as happy as a clam. By the way, the only other place I found these was at a she-she store in LA where they charged 35 a pop (I paid 14 a piece for mine).

And Will likes to sit in them and pretend he is driving.

I never get to go to the movies anymore :(

While this is true, I have been spending my downtime doing the next best thing: “simpsonizing” myself.

I look hot in yellow.

Here we come, SEATTLE!

That is right: we are headed out on vacation for a full week of cooler temperatures, java, and (what else?) beer. We have always wanted to hit up the Northwest but have never had the opportunity, but this year our vision comes to life. As we are huge foodies we will be eating and drinking our way around town, so if any of my lovely readers have any suggestions please don’t hesitate to let me in on local secrets. We had hoped to do a traveling trip but we just don’t have the time. Maybe in another year we will be back.

Something else exciting is I am going to attempt to update this blog daily for the next month! We shall see if I can do it even on the vacation with the laptop. I have tons of cool things to share, and I hope to get to know all of you a bit better. I will be taking my gear, so pictures will be a part of your entertainment. If I can make it through a month then I am going to attempt a longer span of time, and, hopefully, I will be a better blogger for it.

If you live in the Seattle area and would like a photo shoot while I am out, I am more than willing. Send me an email, and we can talk logistics.

Oh, oh, a picture….. Will at the playground last week:
