Crazy for Buckets

I have to tell everyone about my Fav new thing: Tubtrugs. This bucket is the coolest thing ever – no, I really mean it. Not only does it come in many different sizes but it is also flexible, and it comes in the coolest colors. It is also completely indestructible and comes with a lifetime warranty. I use them for everything: laundry, weeding in the garden, washing the car, watering my plants, storing toys….. Now for the catch – they are made in Europe (and I don’t live there).

So I got to thinking and realized they looked really familiar. I racked my brain for weeks why it seemed I had seen them before despite never having been to England or Australia, where they are apparently very popular. Then it came in a flash. I knew exactly were I had seen them: a horse farm! Crazy, huh? Oh, did I mention they have handles so you can carry them like bags? They are flexible, too. Okay, so I called around, and, sure enough, I found a farm supply store here in Atlanta that carried them. They use them for feed – go figure. They thought I was a complete nut for being so excited about a feed bucket, but, oh well, I was as happy as a clam. By the way, the only other place I found these was at a she-she store in LA where they charged 35 a pop (I paid 14 a piece for mine).

And Will likes to sit in them and pretend he is driving.
